"One journal. Hundreds of nations. A handwritten history of the world: about each, for each, by each."
Find your flag. If it's grey, I'm looking for you to give it color!
BE THE VOICE OF YOUR NATION
THE MISSION
Wikipedia has been our primary source of facts and figures about everything. For countries, it lists out all the things you would need to know. But Wikipedia can be boring. So I thought why not make my own directory, library, pokedex - whatever you want to call it - about every single country in the world?
I'm on a journey to collect stories written directly by hand to my journal called "Autograph of the World" from a person born and raised in every country on Earth. This project is a physical archive of our shared humanity and a physical bridge between cultures. If your flag is still grey on my list, I would love to meet you and have you sign your piece of the world.
Your handwriting, Your Story, Your Country.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Do you see your flag in grey on the list above? That means your country's story hasn't been told yet. I am looking for one person from each of these nations to leave their mark in this project.
WHERE DO WE MEET?
If you are in Barcelona, I would love to meet you for a coffee (my treat!) so you can write in the journal in person. At this moment I have already more than 30 countries represented. Some are colleagues, some are friends, but most of them were total strangers - some of which became my friends.
If you are up for helping out on this project by being a part of it, to represent your nation in this simple but special way, and maybe have a nice chat over coffee not just about your country but life in general, I'll await for your contact!
WHAT TO WRITE?
You would have to write some mandatory information just to prove that you are real, alive, and thus agreeing to be part of the project.
And then you can write anything and everything you would like to showcase and tell the world about your country. And of course you can also draw, color, stick on stuff - anything you would like to share proudly about your nation. I also made some guide questions that can help you fill up your country's page, you can see some phoos below from the actual journal.
